‘Coca-Cola’ Talent from Trash Promotion: Terms and Conditions

Overall Promotion:

  1. The promotion is open to residents of Great Britain, the Isle of Man and Channel Islands only, excluding employees and their immediate families of Coca-Cola Great Britain, Coca-Cola Enterprises Limited, their agencies, anyone else professionally connected with the promotion or anyone that is subject to a Football Banning Order.
  2. Entrants must be 12 years or over. Those under 16 years will require parental consent to be eligible to enter.
  3. The promotion will run for 12 weeks starting at 12:00 midday Wednesday 5th September 2007 and ending 11:59:59am Wednesday 28th November 2007.
  4. Entry to the promotion is by 'Making a Pledge' and 'Recycling More' in order to earn cash for the following Clubs:-
    • Accrington Stanley F.C. / Hyndburn Borough Council
    • Brentford F.C / London Borough of Hounslow
    • Burnley F.C / Burnley Council
    • Cardiff City F.C / Cardiff Council
    • Coventry City F.C / Coventry City Council
    • Huddersfield / Kirklees Metropolitan Borough Council
    • Norwich City F.C / South Norfolk District Council, Norfolk Waste Partnership
    • Nottingham Forest F.C. / Nottingham City Council
    • QPR F.C. / London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham
    • Southampton F.C / Southampton City Council
    • Swansea City F.C / City and County of Swansea
    • Swindon Town F.C / Swindon Borough Council
    • Wycombe Wanderers F.C / Wycombe District Council
  5. Make a Pledge: A pledge is defined as intent to recycle household waste for the purposes of raising money for participating Football League Clubs. A pledge is an entry submitted on http://www.talent-from-trash.com .
    1. Each week participating Clubs can earn a cash sum based on the number of pledges the club has received in that week. The total number of pledges is the total number of entries received via the 'Make a Pledge' facility on the 'Talent from Trash' website between 12:00 midday on Wednesdays to 11:59:59am the following Wednesday during the promotional period.
    2. Pledges are made at www.talent-from-trash.com and by making a pledge, fans are entered in to a free prize draw to win £10,000 for their Club and a £5,000 personal prize. No purchase is required in order to make a pledge. Fans can make a maximum of one pledge per day during the promotional period. For the purposes of the promotion, a day is defined as 12:00 midday until 11:59:59am the following day.
    3. The free prize draw will take place on 3rd December 2007 at Enable (Promotions and Marketing) Ltd. One winner will be drawn at random, along with nine runners-up.
    4. For the free prize draw, entrants must ensure that they are contactable at any time between 3rd December 2007 and 5th December 2007 on the same mobile number used for their entry. The Promoter reserves the right to contact runners-up in order if the prize winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period of time. Five attempts to contact each winner will be made during this period, at various times across the day.
    5. If no winner has been contactable by 14th December 2007 the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize (s).
    6. Within each participating Club, the fan who makes the most pledges to recycle during the campaign will win a 'money can't buy' prize from their Club. Prizes will be communicated on the 'Talent from Trash' website.
    7. The fan who has made the most pledges for their Club at the end of the promotion will be contacted between 3rd December 2007 and 5th December 2007 on the same mobile number used for their entry. The Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the fan with the second highest amount of pledges and so forth if the prize winner cannot be contacted within this period of time. Five attempts to contact each winner will be made until 14th December 2007, at various times across the day. In the case of a tie for the highest number of pledges within a Club, the winner will be selected at random from all the highest tied entries for that Club.
    8. Any participant between the ages 12 and 16 will require a parent or guardian to be available to accept the prize on their behalf.
    9. In the event of an entrants' mobile number changing or the mobile phone being lost, stolen or damaged, or an email address becoming inaccessible during the promotion, The Promoter is not able to retrieve and amend any existing entries to a new mobile number or email address.
    10. Over the 12 week campaign, the maximum amount a Club can earn through fan pledges is £12,000 with a guaranteed minimum reward of £2,400. Each Club will earn weekly rewards as follows:

      Clubs - Burnley, Cardiff, Coventry, Norwich, QPR, Southampton

  6. Recycle More: Household waste is defined as aluminium, steel, glass, plastic, paper and cardboard products.
    1. A one off payment at the end of the campaign will be made to each Club dependant on the increase in recycling of household waste in that community compared to the same 12 week period in 2006.
    2. Recycling levels are measured and recorded by the participating Local Councils.
    3. Over the 12 week campaign, the total prize money that Clubs can earn through recycling more household waste is £6,000 with a minimum guaranteed amount of £1,000. Each Club will earn rewards as follows:-

    5. The percentage uplift is calculated as:- 2007 recycling- 2006 recycling / 2006 recycling x 100 (-YOY% increase) = % uplift
  7. The overall total minimum amount a Club can earn is £3,400 and the overall total maximum amount a Club can earn is £18,000 (excluding the free prize draw).
  8. The prize money will only be awarded to the 13 named clubs taking part in the activity from the Coca-Cola Championship, League 1 and League 2. Monies will not be awarded to a Club from any other League not mentioned above.
  9. Monies earned through the promotion must be spent on Club Youth Development only. Youth Development is defined as activity that enhances or improves the youth programmes or community schemes running within participating Clubs. The money cannot be spent on administrative fees, the first team or any general Club expenses.

  14. By entering this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions form part of these terms and conditions. Any breach of these terms and conditions will result in the forfeit of a reward.

  16. Week 8 Overlay: During Week 8 of the promotion (12:00 on Wednesday 24th October to 11:59:59 on Wednesday 31st October) the money awarded to Clubs for the number of pledges received during the week will be doubled. This will apply only to money earned during Week 8 of the promotion. After Week 8, the money available to Clubs will revert to the original tier system, as stated in the Terms and Conditions of the promotion.
    During Week 8 of the promotion, each pledge made will earn consumers one entry into the free prize draw to take place at the end of the promotion.
  17. Limitations of Liability

    Neither the promoter nor the promotional parties assume any responsibility or liability for:

    1. Any incorrect or inaccurate entry, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions
    2. Any unauthorised access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of the website at any point in the operation of this promotion
    3. Communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilised in any aspect of this promotion
    4. Inaccessibility or unavailability of the internet or the website or any combination thereof
    5. Any injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the promotion.
